Wiesław Myśliwski's novel, "A Treatise on Bean-Shelling" has just been sold to Gaffi Editore in Italy. This is the second foreign sale for this book, following the sale to Actes Sud in France.

THE PINK PIGLET sold to England

English rights to THE PINK PIGLET have just been sold to Winged Chariot Press in the UK. Publication is planned for October '07.

NIKE NOMINEES ANNOUNCED

The nominees for the NIKE literary prize were announced yesterday. The list includes three titles published by ZNAK, namely:

1. Wiesław Myśliwski - Traktat o łuskaniu fasoli (A Treatise on Bean-Shelling)

2. Mikołaj Łoziński - Reisefieber (Reisefieber)

3. Tomasz Różycki - Kolonie (Colonies)

The shortlist will be announced in September, and the winner at the beginning of October.

Wiesław Myśliwski's grand novel, A TREATISE ON BEAN-SHELLING, was sold at the LBF to Actes Sud in France.

THE PINK PIGLET at LBF and Bologna

Our picture book THE PINK PIGLET has stirred considerable inerest at both the London and Bologna Book fairs. We are awaiting an offer from France, and the book is being reviewed by English, Japanese and Spanish publishers.
