Tłum. First Things
First Things is a novel in stories. In this, his latest work, Hubert Klimko--Dobrzaniecki, a writer of European renown, describes the key moments of his life, in a funny, ironic, at times a little macabre way. The real is intertwined with the fi ctional here, fantasy with the grotesque, and the whole is held together by a wild sense of humour. As a result, what we get is a brilliantly written, gripping, witty and wise story about a forty- -year-old who, for the fi rst time ever, seriously refl ects on his life. This is outstanding writing, mainly because of the author’s juicy style and incredible imagination.
