Dariusz Żukowski
Dariusz Żukowski, born 1978 in Opole, lives and works in Krakow. Holding degrees in philology and cultural anthropology, he is a translator and editor, as well as co-editor of the anthropological journal Barbarzyńca [Barbarian]. Asked to say a few words about himself, he offers the following: “Literature should rather ask questions than provide answers. In my stories there are no mature, level-headed characters but rather people who are not entirely aware why exactly they do whatever it is they do, and who have no idea where they would find themselves if they should be tossed about by a terrible storm. I guess that that is what we are like today. Which is both difficult and beautiful”.
