Elżbieta Adamiak is a doctor of theology, adjunct professor in the Theology Department  at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, translator, and participant in the conference of the European Theological Society of Women.  Her interests include the theological achievements of Christian feminism.  She is the author and co-author of several books, among them, Children of the Council Ask Questions, The Silent Presence: On the Role of Women in the Church, and the handbook Mariology.  She has published in, among others, Ethos, Więź, Znak, W Drodze, Przegląd Powszechny, and is a regular contributor  to Tygodnik Powszechny.
