Krzysztof Maćkowski
Krzysztof Maćkowski – born in 1971, a traveller, freelance journalist, is making his debut as a writer with The Badeni Report. When he’s not writing his next story from the cycle about police inspector Gustav Mahler, he spends his time in places like Lhasa, Peking, Kathmandu, Lima, La Paz, Guatemala, Mexico, Cairo, Symferopol, or Tirana. You’ll search vainly for him in places like Paris, Rome or London. He combines his escapades with writing; he co-edited a guide to Sweden and is the co-author of a practical Baedeker, Grodno. A City on the Niemen. He is also responsible for three interviews with Ryszard Kapuściński published in the book A Reporter’s Self-Portrait. He willingly spends his time in the Latin-american realities written by Llosa and Marquez. He doesn’t mind an occasional thriller: Camilleri, Montalban or Eco. He avoids sensational books.
